New SalesOptimizer Interface: July 16

Soon to be released is the Soon to be released is the newest upgrade to your SalesOptimizer experience, a brand new user interface. This new menu system is significantly improved to help navigate common tasks quickly and efficiently.



Now using pull down menus rather than the left-hand navigation bar, all of your favorite features will still be accessible in the new menu system, however you should find using the application a much more intuitive experience.

"Export to Excel" bug fix now live

Most SalesOptimizer users are aware that the data from just about any page or grid can be exported to Microsoft Excel. By right clicking on a page after running a query, the "Export to Excel" option will load that application and dump your data for further analysis, chart-making, etc...

Unfortunately, until recently, some users were receiving the following error, preventing them from completing this action.

This web query returned no data. To change the query, click OK, click the arrow on the name box in the formula bar, click the name of the external data range for the Web query, right-click the selection, and then click Edit Query.

Phew!

Fortunately the design team from Brandwise has devised a simpler method. You'll now notice a link at the bottom of the page labeled "Setup Page for Excel". Click this link prior to right-clicking on the page to choose the "Export to Excel" option and your report will be configured properly. When performing the export, your date should load neatly and cleanly without the error message above.

Trends in SalesOptimizer Success

The wealth of information available in SalesOptimizer is no doubt impressive and surely makes for more informed client visits and territory analysis by many users. But just how effective is it?

After analyzing SalesOptimizer usage statistcs across a number of our clients in a number of different industries for 2007, some very clear trends emerged. 

Annual Sales Optimizer logins per user Average increase in sales LYTD per user
Less than 100 Between 5-15%
Between 100 and 200 Between 10-20%
More than 200 Greater than 20%

By using the software regularly, reps are better informed regarding their clients and in the loop on communications from manufacturers about products and promotions. We'll continue to research these trends and other interesting facets of SalesOptimizer usage to bring you the best insight possible into this powerful tool.

Coming Soon: Brandwise 360°

As we reported in our last issue, the upcoming release of our revamped customer mapping utility, and its availability at the rep level is very near. Once Brandwise 360° goes live, you'll be able to plot out existing customers on a brand new map engine, search for new ones for instant prospecting, and efficiently plan your sales day using live traffic and weather overlays. You will even be able to access nearly all customer-related data just by hovering over a customer's plot on the map.

We're extremely excited to show you this new feature and are currently testing the final release now and will begin beta testing shortly. Our testing process will conclude over the coming weeks when we will begin a phased rollout to existing SalesOptimizer clients and their user lists. Expect more details including a launch date in our next issue.
